Join our volunteer team!
The Sharing Shed can use a wide variety of volunteer skills to serve our mission. Whether you can commit to one day a week, one weekend a month, or something else, we want to hear from you! Some of the skills we need from our volunteers include furniture movers, painters, carpenters, organizers, designers, and more.
PERSONAL SHOPPER
Families shop from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Monday and Wednesday, and from 9:00am to 11:00am on Saturdays. Volunteers are needed to walk clients through the shopping process, help them pick out appropriate items, and load items onto the client's vehicle. (Time needed: 2 hours)
PROCESSING
We are open for donations to be dropped on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00am to 11:00am. We also process houshold items by cleaning, sorting and organizing the items in the display room. (Time needed: 2 hours )
WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT
We have a 6,500 sq/ft warehouse filled with couches, dressers, kitchen items, and other furniture. These items regularly need to be cleaned, dusted, set up, and organized. (Time needed: 2 hours)
PICK-UP CREWS
We are always in need of pick up teams to go out into the community to pick up donated items. (Flexible hours)
FURNITURE DELIVERY
One of the best ways to see the mission in action is to be part of a volunteer group as they deliver furniture to our families. We meet at our warehouse, load the truck, and car-pool to the family’s home where we unload and setup their furniture. (Time needed: 2 hours)

SERVE ON A COMMITEE
We are always looking for talented individuals that would like to serve on one of our various committees that work throughout the year to keep The Sharing Shed moving forward in our service to the community.
